Mondubs
The weather and half term have meant shorter walks the last two weeks. They have been lovely none the less.

6.3 miles. CALDER VALE 18.03.2013
Mostly raining and snowing but we kept on going. Didn’t see another person out walking and the lady at the tea rooms we went past clearly thought we didn’t understand it was raining. Planned trek through the woods ended in one foot in a stream… Stan decided to roll in mud again and Dexter avoided it at all costs. Great day but hurry up summer!

Beaconfell and Brockbottoms 11 March 2013.
4.6 miles. 1.54 hr.
This weeks walk was only a short one. It was too bloody cold up on the fell to stay out much longer so after trekking around for awhile we headed back down to the car, the boys enjoyed a splash around in the brook. It was muddy as usual but frozen over so very little mez and dexter carrying had to occur.
Love it here, well when its not busy! hopefully we will get a decent summer this year and we can explore more. So many tracks up and around here and we seem to stick to the same ones. Great day.

Been on a heck of a lot of big dubs of late since the Mez sorted me out with a ETREX20. Haven’t been blogging any of them which I regret.
Walked between 4 and ten miles every Monday thus far. Feels great. The boys seem to be loving it too and Mez has been a total star.
Haven’t had much trouble with the GPS and my navigation seems to of been okay.

We found our first ever geocache away on our walking holiday - Quernmore - Brow Top Cottages! We got geekily excited about this. More to come and hopefully placing our first one today!
